Newsboys’ New Album ‘Born Again’

So I picked up the Newsboys’ new album ‘Born Again’ (Deluxe Edition) on iTunes yesterday. I’m loving this album. Honestly, I was worried what they were going to be like, after the band almost taking on all new members and losing their signature voice (Lead Singer Peter Fulher), but when I saw them live at the end of January, they totally changed my mind. And this new album just reassured me that the same Newsboys style will always be.

Michael Tait who was apart of the group DC Talk (with tobyMac) is the new lead singer and brings a new style to the Newsboys sound. The new album includes a few DC talk tracks like Jesus Freak and When the Boys Light Up. The Deluxe Edition is jam packed with 16 songs, one even includes Hillsong’s famous ‘Mighty to Save.’

The remaining 13 tracks won’t disappoint either with slow, moderate and fast paced songs to keep you in the mood. Overall it’s a great album. The Deluxe Edition (only available on iTunes) also comes with the Born Again Music Video which shows the group in Mexico showcasing the hardships the people face and the band building up a home for a family.

I also picked up a copy of Audio Adrenaline’s ‘WordWide’ and the new Jonas Brothers’ ‘Jonas L.A. Soundtrack.’ Yes I know, I’m surprised myself on that last purchase, but this album is actually fairly good compared to most of their other stuff.
