Sorry everyone I didn’t get to posting this on sunday, got a little busy and didn’t have internet all day.
Anyways, so the morning was pretty laid back. Miles McPherson was back to speak and Parachute Band was leading worship. I was really tired so I wasn’t as into it as I usually am.
During the afternoon, everything got full so we started playing Hide n Seek throughout all of Northlands. It was pretty fun. I got to see Leeland saturday night and sunday afternoon. Leeland is a great band.
So then Sunday night came the fun stuff….it was the final service of the weekend. Bluetree played and they did amazing. We had a giant Canadian Flag that went all the way around the arena. We joined hands and prayed for our communities, our cities, our Nation and the world. Then after that we came together in Unity and sang Happy Day like there ain’t no tomorrow. It was a wild party. Words can’t describe how awesome it was. But it got better….
Skillet was coming.
Ok right now I have to get something out of the way. Jen Ledger, the band’s drummer, is incredibly talented (and hot lol). And if she happens to be reading this, I think you have the most awesomeest British accent Jen!!!
Anyway, Skillet came and the intro was awesome. There was this growl time speaking we heard and then all of a sudden i look down at the stage and I see Jen walking up to the drums. I got excited haha. Anyway then all of a sudden it was loud and they opened with Hero. The concert itself was amazing and they did an awesome job, despite the lead singer having a sore throat, Good Job dude!!
They closed with Rebirthing and I was excited, I have no voice left but it was worth it. My favourite band of all time rocked that concert.
So to sum up the weekend, it was very good. I learned alot, got to see alot of friends I hadn’t seen in a while, got to see awesome bands and just hear about God. Overall fantastic weekend.
